The Moment I Realized I Was a Lightworker Changed My Life
I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was in the beginning stages of starting my spiritual journey. I was extremely open and receptive to receiving signs, messages, and wisdom from anywhere that I could.
I felt this burning sense of excitement within to begin accessing deeper + higher dimensions of reality. And I was being absolutely bombarded with encouragement and guidance from the spirit realms.
Feathers, synchronicities, animal spirits, and angel numbers were everywhere.
I knew that my soul guides were trying to communicate something important, but I hadn’t quite yet figured out what it was.
Then one day, as I was attending a church service with my mom, it hit me so hard + so clearly that it brought me to tears.
My clairvoyance was in the early development stages at this time and one of the ways my guides would share things with me was through images. They’d flashed a giant number behind my eyelids when I’d closed them for prayer, and I rushed to look it up once we left.
The number was all about Lightworkers and how seeing this number was confirmation from the divine that I was one.
My whole world changed at that moment. Everything about my life and who I am began to make so. much. sense.
Lightworkers are highly intuitive and spiritually connected souls that incarnated with the sacred purpose of serving the collective in their own unique way.
They are here to help integrate higher ways of living, communing, and being into our collective consciousness so that we can all continue healing, awakening, and evolving.
Lightworkers are here to serve. To love. To support. To dismantle. To change. To upgrade. To build.
They are some of the divine’s greatest soldiers.

It’s common for Lightworkers to feel like the odd one out.
Because these souls are born to be a living example of divine connection and wisdom, many of them will feel like they don’t truly resonate with the external environments they’re a part of.
They may feel like their beliefs, lifestyles, career choices, or interests don’t really make sense to those around them. They may feel marginalized, outcasted, or shamed for their uniqueness.
This is because the life the Lightworker is called to live is meant to help initiate change.
I realized that I was different very early in my childhood.
In many ways, I did my best to fit in so that I could feel a part of the group, but it always felt like I was sacrificing my true self just so others would accept me.
I knew that my imagination, ideas, values, and desires didn’t quite make sense to everyone. But those that did understand me praised my uniqueness and encouraged me to keep being my authentic self.
Though Lightworkers may struggle to feel truly understood, the truth is that they were never going to fully fit in.
They incarnated to stand out.
2. You Feel a Strong Inner Calling to Serve
Lightworks are here to help humanity reconnect with higher awareness, love, and consciousness.
They may take the form of healers, writers, artists, nurses, teachers, psychics, coaches, volunteers, counselors - the possibilities are endless. Regardless of the Lightworker’s individual career path, many feel a deep passion to be of service to the wellbeing and spiritual growth of others.
They desire to share their unique wisdom, experiences, and life lessons with others so that they may help someone else along their path.
This strong inner call comes straight from the divine realms, and is a sign that you’re here for a higher purpose.
I knew that I wanted to help people for as long as I can remember.
My childhood dream job was to be a pediatrician.
As I got older, I wanted to be a licensed therapist.
